Diet Coca-Cola, The Little Black Dress kicked off during 2009 Rosemont Australian Fashion Week last night combining creativity, fun and a love of fashion. Using the Diet Coca-Cola silhouette as inspiration, leading Australian and international fashion designers recreated the classic "little black dress."
Thirty little black dresses made their way down the runway, all of which came together to celebrate the feminine form and the many ways the little black dress can be brought to life. The iconic Diet Coke silhouette was originally inspired by a woman's curves, and will now inspire the curves and contours of the new take on the little black dresses.
The dresses ranged from avant-guard to sexy to classic, and all of them reflected their designer's signature style. Legendary Italian label Missoni even offered an interpretation, with the lovely Margherita Missoni making a surprise runway appearance to represent the label.
InStyle's editor Kerrie McCallum will be reporting on the Diet Coke Little Black Dress project all week offering exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with designers, insider LBD tips, and the latest scoop for RAFW.
